When I was on active duty at Camp Lejeune I had kidney stones
while in surgery to remover very large stone they removed parts
of my ribs due to strange color was very white to check for cancer
my heart stopped 2 during surgery I do get a check now for 10% service connected all My test and I have had many since 1974
I have strange cysts in both kidneys last year found severe scar
tissue on my heart showing that I have had 2 heart attacks I have no history except at lejeune of any heart attacks. I was in the Navy corpsman my last duty station was noic/oic rifle range disp. |

Brain tumor, huge with new tumors growing. At the end it was brain cancer but unsure if the tumor was cancer earlier on..Prostate complaints, change in personality after service. He would not swim because it bothered his ears, I will try to determine more about his records. His records should be well documented.
My brother was at Camp Lejeune in the late 1960's. I assume he stayed in the barraks. He recently died of a huge brain tumor which took up one entire side of his brain and was pushing into the other side. I wish he had been informed years ago so he could have been
examined. He did not know until he fell and died within a week. It is amazing how he was caring for himself in such a condition but he was strong. He came back from the service appearing more withdrawn. As time went on he appeared eccentric. He led a healthy lifestyle and we have an especially healthy family history. |

Basal Cell Carcinoma 4 places on my face.
Daughter has ADHD. I conceived and delivered in Camp Lejuene.
Her birthday 4/9/1989. Daughter had a lacrimal duct malformation
that required surgery. Also has chronic ear infections. Required PE Tubes. I drank the water alot, it was one of my cravings when I was pregnant. Always had a strong sulfur smell. I have a rare type of leukemia called hairy cell leukemia it's chronic illness and attacks my immune system. I also get bronchitis at least 1 or 2 times a month and I have had anxiety attacks.I was diagnosed in December 2000 & I was told most cases live 8 to 12 years. I am now in my 9th year. Every time I get sick I'm waiting for the doctor to tell me they can't do anything for me. I'm Bi-Polar as well and I keep thinking what else do I need to do for my family so I know they're going to be ok after I'm gone one minute and the next I just don't care and become destructive mostly to myself. I should be thinking more
about being happy and being a grandfather than depressing situations. We had to file bankruptcy twice because of my illness. I was diagnosed in Pgh, PA while home for the holidays. My wife & children went back to IL without me I had to live with my in-laws for 6 months while my wife drove back & forth every week until she could bring me home. She arranged 2 work 4 10hr days & came back on
the weekends to try to work the billing out with social services and have nursing care brought to the house. My teenage son stayed in Pgh with me and gave me shots of my medication as perscribed by the my doctor. My oldest daughter moved back home to help with my 2 younger girls while we were trying to arrange for my homecoming. This illness definitely shook my family but prayer and faith keeps us going. |

Does anyone else remember being sprayed by aircraft with what
was said to be insect spray to kill mosquitoes in swampy
vegetation? This happened on the backside of Camp LeJeune
while on maneuvers. We were srayed to the point of wetness on
skin, clothes and equipment. |
